This project marked my first attempt at creating a simple yet effective environment for one of my animations. The set was primarily constructed using foam blocks and sand colored paper to evoke a desert landscape. I wanted to keep the design minimalistic, as the focus of this project was on the animation itself, which I was being graded on. For the cowboy puppet, I crafted the clothes using felt, with his arms being felted directly onto the foam body of the puppet for added texture and detail. The simplicity of the environment allowed the animation to take center stage, while still providing an immersive backdrop for the story.
